In his role as director of business development, Curtis creates plans and strategies that increase the agency’s nationwide presence and help leverage its reputation as the public relations industry’s champion of best practices. He also manages marketing initiatives that convey the firm’s overall positioning to its stakeholders. In his time at Carmichael Lynch Spong Curtis has managed successful client/agency searches for some of America’s largest brands including Cargill, Clorox, Hasbro, Sherwin-Williams, SUPERVALU and Target. Previously Curtis spent more than eight years with two of the largest public relations agencies in the world. He directed marketing and new business efforts at Fleishman-Hillard’s Minneapolis office, and was on the marketing and new business team for Weber Shandwick’s Bloomington, Minnesota office. He is a volunteer firefighter with the City of Golden Valley.
