President

Doug founded Carmichael Lynch Spong in 1990. Today, his two-time "Midsize PR Agency of the Year" is widely regarded as PR's undisputed champion of best practices.

Before Carmichael Lynch Spong, Doug was senior vice president and managing director at Colle & McVoy Public Relations and was a member of its parent agency's board of directors.

An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, Doug has received five presidential citations for extraordinary service to the society. He is a past president of PRSA's 500-member Minnesota chapter; a current member of its Counselor's Academy; and a two-year chair of its Honors and Awards Committee.

Doug is a founding member of the Council of Public Relations Firms, and he has served a four-year term as a director and a three-year term as the Council's treasurer.
