The Maytag brand has enjoyed a 100-year history as an industry-leading consumer brand. What's more, the Maytag Repairman, created in 1967, has become the longest-running real-life advertising icon on network television. After Maytag was acquired by Whirlpool Corporation in 2006, Carmichael Lynch Spong was asked to help re-energize the brand for today's consumers with the first "Search for the Next Maytag Repairman," as part of an integrated marketing campaign.
